Rangpur, Aug. 7 -- Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Authorities have formed a five-member fact-finding committee to look into allegations that seven teachers of the university were involved in secret activities to support the return of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

An office order signed by Registrar Dr Md Ferdous Rahman, was issued on Thursday night, confirming the formation of the committee.

Dr Md Tanziul Islam, an associate professor of the Department of Political Science, has been appointed convener of the committee, while Rehena Akter Moni, assistant registrar of the university's Legal Cell, has been made member secretary.
