Dhaka, March 19 -- State Minister for Shipping Md. Rajib Ahsan stayed at the Sadarghat Launch Terminal in the capital throughout Thursday to ensure a safe, comfortable, and smooth journey for passengers travelling home for Eid-ul-Fitr.

During his visit, the minister observed the situation on the spot and took measures to maintain discipline and safety.

A BIWTA mobile court fined three launches a total of Tk 70,000 for violating schedules and departing late, while other launches were issued warnings. The minister personally inspected about 20 launches and spoke with passengers.
