Dhaka, April 6 -- High Commissioner H.E. Dharmapala Weerakkody on Sunday said there is immense potential for the development and cooperation of the tourism sector between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

"This type of initiative will serve as a milestone for the growth of the tourism industry in both nations," said at a special 'Media Networking Session' which was held in the capital to strengthen tourism ties and enhance coordination between tourism stakeholders of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) on Sunday afternoon at the 'Kuakata' Hall of Le Meridien Dhaka.
