Bagerhat, June 13 -- A case has been filed over an attack and vandalism at a Bangladesh Coast Guard station in the Harbaria area of Jaimonirghol in Mongla upazila of the Sundarbans, and police have arrested six people, including three women.

The case was lodged with Mongla Police Station by the Coast Guard late Thursday night. It names 44 individuals and includes around 250-300 unidentified people as accused.

Atikur Rahman, Mongla Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC), said police conducted drives in different areas and arrested six people by Friday morning in connection with the case.

Among the arrested are three women named in the FIR, while the other three male suspects were detained on suspicion, he said.
