Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir on Wednesday held a mass gathering in the capital, protesting what it described as attacks by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists on several educational institutions and demanding the full implementation of the July Charter in line with the referendum, as well as justice for those killed during the July mass uprising.

The programme began around 9:00am at the Central Shaheed Minar before participants marched to the Raju Memorial Sculpture on the Dhaka University campus.

Former leaders and activists of the student organisation also joined the gathering.
