, April 26 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that Sher-e-Bangla A K Fazlul Huq was a true leader of all people, regardless of religion or caste, including Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians.

In a message marking the 64th death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla on Monday, the Prime Minister recalled Fazlul Huq as one of the most distinguished leaders in the political history of undivided Bengal.

He said Sher-e-Bangla A K Fazlul Huq was one of the few notable leaders Bangladesh has had.

The Prime Minister expressed deep respect for the late leader, recognising his lasting contribution to the region's political development.
