Shapla Chattar massacre: ICT orders Hasina, 29 others to surrender by Sept 16
Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Thursday asked 30 people including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina to surrender before the court by September 16 in a case filed in connection with the Shapla Chattar massacre during a Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh rally in 2013.
The three-member ICT-2 led by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury passed the order and asked the authorities concerned to publishe advertisement on daily newspapers about the order.
It also fixed September 30 for next hearing in the case.
Ten arrested accused including ex-minister Hasanul Haque Inu, writer Shahriar Kabir and ex-minister Dipu Moni, were produced before the ICT on Thursday.
