Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- A Saudi Arabia expatriate who suffered burns after allegedly setting himself on fire following a family dispute at Sutrapur in the capital died on Sunday.

Mohammad Emon, 26, breathed his last at the ICU of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 11:50am, said Dr Md Sultan Mahmud, resident surgeon of the institute.

The incident occurred around 4:30pm Saturday at Shyambazar Chamartuli of Sutrapur when four other members of his family suffered burn wounds.

The injured were identified as Emon's father Siddiq Bepari, 60; his nephew Rajib, 38, a mechanic at National Hospital; nephew Arifur Rahman Dhalu, an electrician35 and niece Tania Akter, 20, an honours student at a women's college in Old Dhaka.
