Dhaka, Aug. 9 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday sent actor Ashraful Haque Don to jail hours after being arrested in the murder case of popular film actor Salman Shah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana passed the order when Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inspector Arifur Rahman, also investigatiing officer of the case, sought an order to keep him in jail.

In his petition, the CID Inspector said Don is an accused named in the first information report (FIR) and according to the FIR he and other accused killed Salman Shah in a planned way.

Earlier, immigration police arrested Don at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 6am when he was preparing to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
