BEIJING, Aug. 16 -- The upcoming second World Humanoid Robot Games will see a fourfold increase in participation compared to last year's inaugural event, organizers announced on Thursday.

Scheduled to take place in Beijing from August 22 to 26, the event has attracted 666 teams and 2,056 robots from 16 countries, according to Jiang Guangzhi, director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
