Faridpur, July 23 -- Three members of a Bangladeshi family were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Tania Tahmina Rina, 45, her son Tasbik, 20, and daughter Zara, 15. The injured are Tania's husband Shafiqul Islam Khokon and their elder son Nabil.

The accident occurred in Riyadh after 3:00pm (Bangladesh time) while the family was travelling from Riyadh to Makkah to perform Umrah, said Tania's brother Touhid Murad.

Tania was the daughter of late Nazimuddin Mollah, former chairman of Atghar Union Parishad in Saltha upazila of Faridpur, while her husband Khokon was a resident of Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj.
