Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- Riverports in eight regions have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 1 as rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds of 45-60 kph are likely in the areas until 1am on Saturday.

The regions are Rangpur, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Cumilla and Sylhet, BMD said in Inland Riverport Warning on Friday.

The warning came into effect at 3pm on Friday and will remain valid until 1am on October 10.
