Dhaka, May 7 -- BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday said many poems and songs of Rabindranath Tagore served as a profound source of courage and endless inspiration during Bangladesh's Liberation War.

He made the remarks in a message issued marking the 165th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore.
