Dhaka, Sept. 28 -- Dr. Mohummed Shofi Ullah Mazumder of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU).

The Ministry of Education issued a notification on Monday appointing him to the post by order of the President. The notification was signed by the ministry's Assistant Secretary Md Sultan Ahmed.

According to the notification, President and Chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University appointed Prof Dr Mohummad Shofi Ullah Mazumder as the university's Vice-Chancellor for four years under Section 10(1) of the Sylhet Agricultural University Act, 2006.
