Dhaka, April 5 -- Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmad Azam Khan on Sunday said the process for taking action against the politically enlisted non-freedom fighters has already begun after identifying them.

"From August 2024 to March 2026, the gazettes of a total of 481 non freedom fighters across the country have been cancelled following investigation and verification," he said in Parliament.

The minister disclosed this while responding to a notice submitted under Rule 71 by treasury bench member elected from Sylhet-3 Md. Abdul Malik.
