Sylhet, Sept. 15 -- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday visited the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) during his first tour to Sylhet since taking office as the head of state.

The President reached the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) in the city around 12:30pm.

He offered Fateha and joined a munajat there, praying for peace, progress and prosperity of the country, its people and the Muslim Ummah.

Mirza Fakhrul left the shrine premises around 12:49pm and headed for the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (RA), where he also offered prayers.
