Dhaka, May 18 -- President Mohammed Shahabuddin has returned home after completion of his follow-up treatment and health examinations in London.

The President arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning, said his press secretary Sarwar Alam.

A significant block was detected in the heart of President Mohammed Shahabuddin during a routine medical check-up in the United Kingdom, prompting immediate angioplasty and placement of a stent.

The stent implantation procedure was performed at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge on Tuesday afternoon.
