Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday called for an end to the culture of confrontation and political vendetta and urged all concerned to create an environment of political consensus and coordination.

"Without political consensus, a country cannot move forward properly," he said.

The President made the remarks when a delegation of the MBA Association of Bangladesh (MAB) paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban.

President's Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam briefed reporters after the meeting.
