Dhaka, June 25 -- The Power Division on Thursday urged electricity consumers using prepaid meters to update their meter tokens following the implementation of new electricity tariffs.

In a press release, the division said consumers whose prepaid meters require a token update of 200 digits or more should follow the instructions available on the websites of their respective power distribution companies.

The Power Division said the update is necessary to ensure that prepaid meters properly reflect the newly introduced electricity rates and continue to function without disruption.
