, Nov. 5 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday granted bail to actress Pori Moni in an attempted murder case filed by former Dhaka Boat Club Limited (DBCL) President Nasir Uddin Mahmood.

Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Mahfuzur Rahman granted the bail upon her surrender before the court.

Earlier on Wednesday, the same court issued a warrant for the arrest of Pori Moni in the case.

Earlier, on January 26 last year, the court framed charges in the case and ordered the start of the trial.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Pori Moni on that day. She later surrendered before the court and secured bail.
