Sangsad Bhaban, Sept. 8 -- Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Tuesday rejected the allegation that political loyalty has been prioritised over seniority, academic qualifications and administrative experience in appointing vice-chancellors (VCs) to public universities.

Responding to a question from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker Md Nurul Islam, MP from Chapainawabganj-3, during the question-and-answer hour in Parliament, he said the allegation was "not based on facts."
