Beijing, June 25 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Chinese Premier Li Qiang sat for bilateral talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday afternoon.

The meeting began at 5:00pm local time (3:00pm Bangladesh time), Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said.

"The bilateral meeting between the two countries has begun around 5:00pm," he said.

Rumon said Tarique Rahman is leading the Bangladesh delegation while the Chinese delegation is being led by Premier Li Qiang.
