Dhaka, June 15 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday directed the authorities concerned to relocate four inter-district bus terminals outside the capital swiftly as part of efforts to reduce chronic traffic congestion and modernise Dhaka's traffic management system.

He made the directive at a meeting held at the Public Administration Room of the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat on easing traffic congestion in the capital and modernising its traffic management system, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.

The four terminals earmarked for relocation are the Fulbaria-Gulistan Bus Terminal, Gabtoli Bus Terminal, Mohakhali Bus Terminal and Sayedabad-Jatrabari Bus Terminal.
