Dhaka, May 2 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Sylhet for Dhaka on Saturday evening after a day-long visit.

He departed from Osmani International Airport at 7:35pm on a US-Bangla Airlines domestic flight, Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said.

"The Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, and his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, are returning to Dhaka after concluding their Sylhet tour," he said.

Earlier, at around 6:00pm, the Prime Minister attended a workers' meeting with BNP leaders and activists at the Sylhet Shilpakala Academy, where he exchanged greetings with party members.

After the meeting, he left for the airport.

The Prime Minister and his wife arrived at Osmani International Airport at 10:05am.
