Dhaka, July 31 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday carried out a firsthand inspection of waste management, drainage, greening and other civic services across the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), identifying shortcomings on the ground and ordering immediate corrective measures.

During the visit, he closely observed the city corporation's cleanliness activities, tree plantation, greening initiatives, drainage system and overall urban management, said a press release issued by the PM's Press Wing.

Tarique Rahman identified a number of problems at different locations, expressed dissatisfaction over several issues and directed the authorities concerned to take prompt and effective steps to address them.
