Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday directed the authorities concerned to expedite the Inner Circular Road project aimed at easing traffic congestion in Dhaka city.

He gave the directive at a meeting to review the progress of the construction of the Inner Circular Road at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat, said PM's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.

The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Local Government Division to jointly review the existing project plan and take steps to accelerate the construction work.
