Dhaka, March 7 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended office on Saturday despite it being a public holiday, continuing the practice for the third consecutive week since assuming office.
He arrived at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Tejgaon at around 12 noon, said his Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.
Shiplu said the Prime Minister first met Dr Nargis Akter, Director General of the Bangladesh Jute Research Institute, to discuss ways to expand the diversified use of jute products and broaden their market.
Later, around 2:30pm Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku met the Prime Minister, he said.
