New York, Sept. 22 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and World Bank Group President Ajay Banga on Tuesday discussed Bangladesh's development priorities, economic progress and ways to further strengthen World Bank support for the country's development efforts.

During their meeting at the UN Headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, they also exchanged views on ways to explore opportunities to expand areas of partnership between Bangladesh and the World Bank in the future, according to a release issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
