Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) on Wednesday approved an additional allocation of Tk 100 crore to strengthen its safe water and sanitation interventions, raising the total allocation for the sector in the current fiscal year to Tk 427.26 crore.

The decision was taken at the 264th meeting of PKSF's Governing Body.

The fresh allocation is expected to accelerate national efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-6, which aims to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
