Dhaka, July 29 -- Police Headquarters (PHQ) on Wednesday directed field-level police officers to ensure thorough investigation of every criminal case and bring offenders to justice through due legal process.

The directive came at the monthly crime review meeting for June 2026, held virtually at Police Headquarters with Additional Inspector General (Crime and Operations) Khondoker Rafiqul Islam in the chair.

Addressing the meeting, the additional IGP stressed the need for heightened vigilance to prevent any rise in crime across the country.

He directed police officials to conduct thorough investigation in connection with murder, rape, robbery and abduction cases and ensure their prompt disposal.
