Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- Bangladesh has ushered in a new era in its digital payment ecosystem with the official launch of the Bangla QR-based Person-to-Person (P2P) transaction service on November 1, 2026.

The new service lets individuals transfer funds easily, quickly, and securely by scanning another person's QR code, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB).

A key feature of the P2P Bangla QR system is that users no longer need to type out recipient mobile numbers or account numbers manually. By scanning the recipient's QR code and verifying the necessary details, transactions can be completed seamlessly, making peer-to-peer digital money transfers significantly more convenient.
