Lalmonirhat, Sept. 14 -- Social Welfare Minister Dr AZM Zahid Hossain has stressed the importance of maintaining organisational discipline within the BNP to help the party overcome national crises and protect the country and its people.

Any disorder could benefit "covert and fugitive forces," he said while addressing a views exchange meeting at the Lalmonirhat District BNP office Sunday midnight.

Dr Zahid said the BNP's primary responsibility is to provide proper leadership to protect the country and its people during times of crisis.

"A position has no value without the party, and no organisation can move forward without discipline," he said, urging all leaders and activists to remain united and disciplined in the party's interest.
