, July 3 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning, in many parts of the country in the 24 hours commencing at 9:00am on Friday.

According to the forecast, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is likely at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions during the period.

In addition, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes are likely at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions.
