Dhaka, June 30 -- Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have handed an outsider over to police for secretly recording female students inside a women's washroom at the university's Teacher-Student Centre (TSC).

Inspector (Investigation) of Ashulia Police Station Md Azgar Ali on Tuesday noon said a case was filed against the accused - Riaz Ahmed Raj, a resident of Keraniganj - and he was sent to court.

According to witnesses, female students detained the accused around 2:15am on Tuesday inside the women's washroom at the TSC. The university later handed him over to police.
