Dhaka, July 21 -- Outgoing Chief of Navy Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan paid a farewell call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Admiral Nazmul expressed his gratitude to the President for his support throughout his tenure as the Navy chief, President's Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam said.

He also briefed the President on the overall development activities of the Bangladesh Navy.

President Shahabuddin, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, thanked the outgoing Navy chief for discharging his duties successfully and efficiently.
