Cumilla, Sept. 20 -- Yashat Shahriar Opratim, the 13-year-old son of a Cumilla University teacher who was found dead in a jungle in Sadar Dakkhin upazila on Saturday, was laid to rest on Sunday.

He was buried at the family graveyard following his second namaz-e-janaza at Gondamati Eidgah in Kotbari of the upazila.

Earlier, his first janaza was held at the Comilla University campus around 10:00am, where his father, KM Firoz Shahriar, broke down in tears while speaking before the prayer.

"Opratim grew up with your affection and love. If he has ever hurt anyone, please forgive him," his father said, repeatedly breaking down while speaking.
