Dhaka, Oct. 7 -- e-Islami Ameer and opposition leader Dr Shafiqur Rahman left Dhaka for Turkey on Wednesday morning to attend an international conference on Bangladesh studies.

He departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Istanbul to attend Second International Conference on Bangladesh Studies at Istanbul University as the chief guest.

Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General and Central Publicity and Media Secretary Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, and Central Executive Council Member Md Mobarak Hossain were present at the airport to see him off.
