Dhaka, July 12 -- Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Shafiqur Rahman and the National Citizen Party (NCP) on Sunday expressed deep sorrow at the death of former acting President, ex-Speaker and BNP Standing Committee member Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar.

In a condolence message, Shafiqur Rahman recalled the seasoned politician's distinguished career, describing him as a renowned senior lawyer and a patriotic politician who discharged both his professional and political responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
