OCAB condoles death of journalist Amir Khasru
Dhaka, Oct. 10 -- The Overseas Correspondents Association Bangladesh (OCAB), a Dhaka-based organisation of journalists working for global media outlets, on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of its former general secretary and veteran journalist Amir Khasru.
In a statement, Ocab said that the country lost a prominent journalist who had decades of experience in covering politics, diplomacy and international affairs.
Ocab President Nazrul Islam said: Khasru was "a dedicated journalist who served the nation with distinction."
"His contribution to major outlets like Voice of America, daily Ittefaq and Sangbad left an indelible mark on Bangladeshi journalism. He was not just a colleague but a mentor and a friend to many," he said.
