Dhaka, July 21 -- Obhizatrik Foundation has distributed nearly 2 tonnes of emergency food assistance among 200 flood-affected families in Ramu, Pekua and Chakaria upazilas in Cox's Bazar district following recent heavy rains and flooding.

The humanitarian initiative was carried out with support from ZXY International, according to a press release.

The release said continuous rainfall and flash floods over the past several days damaged hundreds of homes across different parts of Cox's Bazar, leaving many families struggling with food shortages.

Volunteers from Obhizatrik Foundation reached remote and hard-hit communities, delivering around 10 kg of food packages containing rice, lentils, potatoes and salt directly to affected households...
