Dhaka, July 4 -- Police on Saturday said vagrants, beggars and drug addicts would not be allowed to stay in the airport area under any circumstances.

According to a statement signed by Niaz Mehdi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), regular police patrols are being conducted in and around Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to remove such people from the area in a bid to reduce the harassment of expatriate passengers.
