, July 27 -- There are currently no alarming signs indicating a resurgence of extremism in Bangladesh although law enforcement agencies continue round-the-clock monitoring of suspected extremist activities through online platforms, social media, intelligence inputs and their own databases, said chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit on Monday.

Speaking at a press briefing at the DMP Media Centre, Additional Commissioner of DMP and chief of CTTC unit Mohammad Shamsul Haque said authorities remain vigilant and immediately launch operations whenever any information on extremist activities is received.
