Dhaka, Oct. 13 -- Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sjoerd Sjoerdsma on Tuesday expressed interest in strengthening the strategic partnership over the next 50 years.

He paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and highlighted visit of a maritime trade mission and prospective visits on textiles and water issues. Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bangladesh Joris van Bommel also attended the meeting.

Bangladesh highlighted possible cooperation in shipbuilding, semiconductors and continued support for the apparel industry among other issues.
