Dhaka, May 27 -- All preparations have already been completed at the National Eidgah ground for Eid prayers, LGRD State Minister Mir Shahe Alam said on Wednesday.

He said President Mohammed Shahabuddin, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Chief Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury, cabinet members, political leaders, diplomats, social dignitaries, and lakhs of devotees will offer Eid prayers at the ground tomorrow (Thursday).

"Tight security measures have been taken around the National Eidgah in this regard," he said after inspecting the preparations on Wednesday.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Abdus Salam and Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed were also present.
