Jhenaidah, May 22 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary was attacked with eggs in Jhenaidah on Friday afternoon, triggering clashes that left at least six people injured, according to police and party sources.

The incident took place around 2pm in front of the Old Collectorate Mosque in Jhenaidah town after Jumu'ah prayers.

Following the attack, NCP activists staged a protest procession and later took position at Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station, demanding improved law and order in the country and calling for the resignation of the home minister and law minister.
