Sylhet, March 4 -- Opposition Chief Whip and Convener of the National Citizen Part ( NCP) Nahid Islam on Wednesday called on party leaders and activists to prepare for the upcoming local government elections, saying they must get ready for another fight and enter the field this time with full strength and no mistakes.

He made the remarks as the chief guest at an iftar event organised by the party at a community centre in Sylhet.

Nahid alleged that politicisation is taking place in various government offices.

He said ruling party leaders have been appointed as administrators in different city corporations.

He said if his party goes to parliament, they will raise questions from a position of accountability.
