Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam on Wednesday condemned the attack on the convoy of Noakhali-6 MP and party leader Abdul Hannan Masud in Hatia, Noakhali.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Nahid Islam alleged that activists of the BNP and Awami League carried out the attack.

"Local BNP and rehabilitated Awami League activists jointly attacked Hannan Masud during his visit to Prakasam Bazar in Chanandi union. Several NCP leaders and activists were reportedly injured," he said.

"I strongly condemn such a heinous attack on an elected member of parliament," the NCP chief added.
