Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- Chief Whip of the Opposition and National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam on Wednesday accused the ruling BNP of killing its own people, alleging that the "deteriorating" law-and-order situation has left ordinary people vulnerable to violence and injustice.

"How bad must the law-and-order situation have become for them to be killing their own people? Whether justice will be served for this is a question for me," Nahid said at a meeting with leaders of the Dhaka division (Southern Region) to discuss organisational progress and plans for the upcoming election.
