Muktijoddha Dal protests NCP remarks targeting PM Tarique Rahman
Dhaka, Aug. 2 -- Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal on Sunday protested what it described as "offensive" remarks made by National Citizen Party (NCP) leaders against Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, alleging that such statements reflect the politics of anti-independence forces.
In a press release, the organisation's President Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat and other senior leaders said the comments made by NCP leaders about the prime minister amounted to behaviour inconsistent with the spirit of the July 2024 mass uprising.
According to the statement, NCP leaders recently made what it termed "indecent remarks" about Tarique Rahman and his family at a rally in Habiganj, triggering protests by local students and members of the public.
