Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- Police arrested a man in the capital's Jatrabari area on Friday morning after identifying him through video footage for snatching a vanity bag from a moving bus.

The arrestee was identified as Md. Roknuzzaman Rokon, 26.

According to Jatrabari Police Station sources, a police team analyzed video footage of the bag-snatching incident on the moving bus and successfully identified Rokon.

Later, police conducted a drive in the Shanir Akhra area under Jatrabari Police Station around 7:00 a.m. on Friday and apprehended him.

Md. Akhtar Hossain, Media and Public Relations Division Deputy Commissioner of DMP, said Rokon faces multiple cases related to preparing for robbery at various police stations.
